Absolutely love it!
Great reading light for dim/dark room reading! I use this for a large textbook, and it easily lights up both pages. It is nice and lightweight, not at all top-heavy, so it does not pull itself off the book. The clip is firm, but not crushing. I like the two levels of light. The low level is a softer, bluish tint. The high level is a very bright, very white light. I did experience the "reflection" problem some reviewers mentioned, where the high-level light reflects off the page into your eyes, but I found that if you simply raise the head of the light a little higher, it goes away. The arm is INCREDIBLY flexible, but stays EXACTLY where I put it!! Would definitely recommend! My only very small complaint would be that the purple color is about $4 cheaper, and I didn't notice until AFTER this was on its way...would have purchased the cheaper one...don't care what color it is!

Light, handy, portable, powerful, low cost and the BEST reading light out there!
My wife and I love our powerful, low-cost Hammerhead light! Its 28 lumens output is triple that of other similar lights. On the 'portable' side of the equation, its AAA's will last eight hours of continuous use at the highest light setting. On the other hand, my primary use will allow me 100,000 hours = 11 years of continuous use. Hmmmm, okay I am not planning binge reading for 11 years. My way of saying that I use the handy AC adapter so that I am always ready to use it sans any need of batteries. I clip my Hammerhead to a metal, circular pen holder which sits just to the right of my PC's keyboard. Now, when I need extra light I just hit the switch and voila! You can see this in the actual photo of my Hammerhead lighting a large calendar on my desk in an otherwise totally dark room. Literally….BRILLIANT! The Hammerhead has an amazing 4.5 star rating from 266 Amazon users. As seen in my photo the Hammerhead will light up any book's full page and not merely a small spot. Too much light, one click reduces the light by (my estimate) 50% making the Hammerhead 'flexible' in so many ways. I guess I can sum it up by saying Hammerhead cost so little and does so much!

Nice and bright! Great adjustable neck!
This is a very nice light. Not too heavy for a paperback book, but if the base/clip were a little longer it would stay on the book better. I don't find the brightness on the brighter setting to be too bright at all, as some other have mentioned. I supposed it is just what you are looking for, and I wanted a brighter light because I don't see well at night. In fact, other lights are not bright enough. You can turn this down to the second dimmer setting if it is too bright. I bought the adapter since I use this mainly in bed and didn't want to keep buying batteries (also to avoid the "flicker" when batteries are going dead). I am very happy with this light (it's my 4th different kind over the years) except for the fact that the base could be a little longer. But, it is definitely the lightest weight one, which is nice. The base and clip length are not a deal-breaker and the brightness is excellent for middle aged eyes. Oh yes, the adjustable gooseneck makes it very easy to shine the light exactly where you want it.

Never let me down! Never will!!
I have bought 10-12 Hammer Heads over the years - and many other models of Mighty Bright lights. Probably a total of 50-60 Mighty Bright products. They are my "go to" lights for music stands, singers, conductors, etc. I have tried other brands and they just don't measure up to the quality, price point....but mostly brightness and longevity. I have been directing vocal and instrumental ensembles for 50 years. Mighty Bright is my choice.

Way too powerful!
I bought this light for two reasons: it has a dim setting and other reviewers described how the light covers both pages of a book. I would give this a lower rating, but this is listed as a craft light. If you're needing a small, bright light for crafts (or just some awesome bright light), then this light is great. If you're like me and looking for a book light, this light is far too bright. It lights up an entire room, even on the dim setting. I actually clip it to the headboard and turn the light towards the wall, and the room is still illuminated. You definitely can't point the light at the book without the reflection blinding you.

quality
I purchased one from a local store using batteries it was short lived in my opinion maybe 8 hours. I used a 5 volt power supply and its been working great. Bought two more through Amazon and also purchased the company's 4 volt power supply. It's a nice option to have the battery ability but for long term use the power supply works best. Happy with the light output and I use them for book reading

Great light for books
This light is great for hard back books. Provides plenty of light (I have an eye condition and need a bright, white light) and fully cover most of both pages. It has two light settings. I usually use the low setting. I do adjust it slightly depending on which page I am reading but the neck is very flexible. Better than any book light that I have ever had. It doesn't work very well for magazines and newspapers as the whole setup bends the pages. I suggest a thin piece of plywood or cardboard as a backer to clip the light to.

Wonderful!
I already own 1 of these Mighty Bright book lights. I had 2 but left 1 behind in a motel room. I knew I wanted the Hammerhead style. I got it in blue so that maybe I'll be more likely to see it as I'm packing to leave a room. They are great for night-time in bed readers like me. Very reliable. Just pack carefully so that the button doesn't get depressed in your luggage! That happened to me once. My fault.

BUY THE BEST
Have tried a dozen different book lights in the last two years. My favorite on Amazon has been discontinued, so when it came time to replace it, I tried some of the newer items. The "clip to your glasses" stuff lasted less than a month. The usual array at $10 - $12 was just as much junk as the same price-range stuff was two years ago. Then I ordered the Mighty Bright. A little more money, but absolutely the best. Better than my favorite two years ago. Extremely bright (with a lower level setting for when that will suffice) and extremely well-made. My congratulations to the manufacturer and the seller. GREAT PRODUCT.

Perfect for use on a music stand.
Perfect for use on a music stand. this is the 3rd light i've used to light my music stand during concerts. It is the goldilocks of music stand lights. juuuuuust right! My first one was also a 6 led light but...it was huuuuge and much heavier. So I ditched it and went for a much smaller 1 led booklight which though much smaller and lighter was also substantially dimmer and the light just didn't spread wide enough to illuminate all of the music on my stand. It just didn't do the job at my last orchestra concert. So as a result I tried this Mighty Bright Hammarhead. It's perfect for illuminating a music stand with a light wide enough and bright enough to see your music in the dark. i'd recommend this to any musician. and its small which makes it a cinch to carry around with you.
