Pretty decent book

I personally thought this was a decent book, but fakespot gives it an F for fake reviews. Supposedly only 25% of these reviews are reliable and it says there's most likely high deception involved here. It can be hard to launch a book, so you gotta do what you gotta do to start coming up in the search, but I'm just letting you know that I'm definitely a legit reviewer here, and although I found out the fakespot score after I read the book, I thought it was a fairly insightful read despite the poor reliability. I made several highlights, and it teaches you just about everything you need to do, step by step, to build an ecommerce store. That's about it.

Honest review - Actionable Book if You're a Go Getter Without The Excuses

Honestly when I first purchased this book I was excited, yet skeptical since I'm a part of a high level mastermind group and on the inside with entrepreneurs that make 7-8 figures a year. Boy did this blow my mind and prove to me a book can be just as much value as a high level mastermind group. The whole process of how an eCommerce is broken down into actionable simple to understand explanations and steps that a caveman could follow. In this book you learn everything that goes into a frontal end sales funnel, back end sales funnel, marketing, re-targeting, the no nos of advertising, market research, product research, price research, suppliers, building ideas for niches/products. This book will give you all the tools to take action if you're serious about making your goals happen. It can't do anything for you though if you sit around and let it gather dust. There are no sale pitches in this book, only pure actionable content Me and my business partner after reading this book are almost ready to launch on Amazon FBA after only being done reading this book less then a week ago. (This book will help you if you are running an amazon business, shopify business, and any type of eCommerce business.) Good luck everyone! You can read all the books in the world, have all the mentors in the world, have all the tools in the world to get you to your goal; but if you don't take action, it will never happen. Your future self will thank you for it, start today :)

basic if useful information; egotistical 2nd amendment loving writer

I had to get this as a text for a class I'm taking. It reads like a diet book (i.e., follow my advice and you will be rich/skinny), which is annoying but to be expected. I would not have purchased the book if I'd realized he trades in arms. He even offers a box subscription with items like hunting knives big gun slings. His main premise is that all online selling is the same, no matter the item. I find that lacks credulity -- selling lipstick is the same as selling cars? selling a gun is the same as selling a painting? I'd look for another choice.

Very basic information not worth the money

Everything this book contains is free information that you can find anywhere it gives you no actionable strategies for growth this book was only written so the author can make extra money while not actually helping anyone. Trust this review 75% of the reviews on this book are fake

The quintessential e-commerce bible.

This book is the quintessential e-commerce bible. Any one that is new to the e-com needs to read this book from cover to cover. This well-articulated easy-to-understand book provides all the information to guide you step by step on how to market your website. Within the pages of this book, you will gain a great deal of insight on how to best structure your offers, increase conversions and get people to your store. Another thing that is noteworthy is that it focuses on teaching you how to build your own website, as opposed to using someone else’s selling platform, such as Amazon or eBay. With so many other books out there about e-commerce this is one that focuses on marketing physical products rather than digital goods. If you’re new to e-commerce like I am this nook will cover all the important stuff you need to know such as target market, boosting conversion, profit maximizers, how to collect and analyze data, advertising channels, front end marketing, and back end marketing. This book is jam packed with amazing information that has already helped me to bring in more net revenue. I love that this information is not only practical but it is exactly what the author uses for himself. He’s literally teaching you how to compete in his field of expertise.

Take Notes while Reading and Do ALL your research

Tanner's book contains lots of great advice, such as including a sales funnel, order bumps, recurring income subscription services, getting customer reviews, and working with ads. He also delves into forming email marketing campaigns and a bunch of other tricks like facebook audience insights. The man has been doing e-commerce for years now so I took notes during this book. I like that this book is relevant (published in 2016) and definitely will teach you some things that an outdated college business class will fail to do. Do recommend this book. However, I also recommend that you read more books with delve into even more specifics on Facebook marketing. Furthermore, this book doesn't really delve into the power of influencer marketing as much as other books can. You'll need to look up "influencer marketing" on Amazon Kindle Store. However, this book is still filled with a lot of great advice but it could have more. Gretta Van Riel, Standford student, started her first business at the young age of 22-she has grown several eccomerce platforms and has made multi millions. This book doesn't mention her, however, I highly recommend that you check out her free content on YouTube to learn about powerful Instagram influencer marketing. Another great book is called Sell Like Crazy, written by Sabri Suby. Definitely read this and Sell Like Crazy. E-commerce Evolved should have included more details about e-commerce platforms such as Shopify and WooCommerce and their pros and cons. For instance, I had to do my own research to learn that WooCommerce will upsell you on certain features mentioned in this book. You'll need to pay an additional $80/year just to be able to offer order bumps on WooCommerce, whereas it's already included with Shopify service. WooCommerce will also charge you an additional $200/year if you want to add a subscription service payment system to your site for consistent income. This book didn't share this with me I had to do my own research. Really make sure you know ALL the bonus and added fees before deciding on Shopify or WooCommerce. - Isabel Mendez, future entrepreneur

Amazing step-by-step guidebook on building a real ecommerce business.

If you are a newcomer to ecommerce business like me, this Ecommerce Evolved book by Tanner Larsson is a must read. This book is a step-by-step guidebook on building a real ecommerce business. He combines his knowledge, experiences, and heart to lay a clear path to follow. For myself, it is like he is holding my hand while he helps me reach the place where I want to be with my business. It’s a resonable book

The book has a lot of good basics info for beginners, yet you feel topics are misorganised, the author is excessively marketing himself and his organization. The cover’s quality is awful!!!

Great read even for an experienced ecommerce marketer.

Increase conversions quickly

Great book for how to run an e-commerce business and the marketing that goes into it. If you build it, they won't come. So you better figure out how to market your website. This book gives great insight in how to best structure your offers, increase conversions and get people to your store. To my surprise this book also has some pretty advance "direct response" marketing ideas that typically isn't found with e-commerce stores (ninja conversions ideas). As the owner of a large e-commerce store, I encourage all my new employees to read this book. ~ Byron
